12.30-1.00 pm - common tern returning to the northern lake from a westerly direction - calling and with a fish to the northern lake, BH gull (4), mallard, coot and GC grebe pairs with young, 50+ starling among rapeseed fields and flushed a few underfoot (jack snipe-like) on grassy path, swallow (3), common whitethroat, linnet, sedge warbler.
Common tern takes Chorley species total for the year to 127.
