White Coppice

Post by John Frankland »

Finally !!!!

Finally, I managed to get 3-4 bursts of song of the *Tree Pipit up on the top of the moorside and a probable viewing but which was just that too far away. :D

No sign of Wood Warbler in Heatherlea or Stronstey Bank although the latter had 2-3 singing Redstart including one which flew over the Goit towards the horse enclosures.

4 Garden Warbler (3 in the disused Reservoir with a Whitethroat), Cuckoo and a Tawny Owl calling were the best of the rest.

*the Tree Pipit takes me to 129 species for the year.
