Early evening stroll up to Heatherlea Woods.

My 7th walk up and down the moorland path and still no sign for me if the seemingly mythical Tree Pipit !! Don’t know what I’m doing wrong !

2 Cuckoo (pair I think) were active and seen together.

In Heatherlea, got 3 short but clear bursts of *Wood Warbler song in quick succession but that was it in about 20 minutes. Certainly not fully active although the dull and cold weather may have had something to do with this too.

Also seen 1 Siskin, 1 Treecreeper, 2 Goldcrest heard and 1 Redpoll over.

* 1 more takes me to 128 species for the year.
