Re: White Coppice. 9.20-1.30
8.30-11.45am - After 2 mornings of fruitless searching for a tree pipit, Nora and Tommy found one singing (but not unfortunately displaying) from a tree on the moorland path. Search of the upper reaches of Hatherlea and Stronstrey woods failed to uncover a wood warbler though. Similar sightings to Nora, with addition of a peregrine high over Dean Black Brook, 5 tumbling ravens above Stronstrey bank and a tawny owl in flight.
Well done Nora (and Tommy) on the 100.
Tree pipit takes Chorley species total for the year to 124.
