Croston to Wymott (and back)

7.00-11.00am - greylag (3) and Canada goose (2), 100's gulls (mostly BH and LBB with some herring) in freshly ploughed field adjacent to Twin Lakes, oystercatcher (3), GC grebe on e-shaped pond, little egret flew out of Wymott Brook toward Bretherton, collared dove, lapwing (10+), whimbrel (73+, 45 in field between Bretherton and Wymott and a further 28+ in a field the other side of the prison), buzzard (2), swallow, song thrush, mipit (2), whitethroats doing a role reversal (lesser singing from treetop and common skulking in a nearby hawthorn) - another lesser whitethroat heard further down the woodland path and another common near the bridge over the R Lostock, blackcap (8+), chiffchaff (5), willow warbler (5), yellowhammer, reed bunting (2).

Whimbrel, common & lesser whitethroat and (White Coppice) cuckoo takes Chorley species total for the year to 111.
