Eyes Lane

Post by Mark Cookson »

1st visit of the year to Eyes Lane for a swift lunchtime visit. 2 RB Merganser on river with teal mallard and moorhen. Plenty of skylark overhead with mixed gulls and a cormorant over. Buzzard sat on a hedge half way down. Couple of pied and one grey wag over....

Are you sure they were mergansers Mark?, goosanders are very common along that part of the Douglas.

One was definitely a RB Merganser however the other was distant towards Tarleton direction so just presumed RBM..
