Gadwall .

3 currently present on parkhall lake ( first ones ive seen on this water ) also plenty of mallard , 2 mute swan and 5 moorhen .
Gadwall brings the list up to 85 species .

The 3 gadwall were back this evening , the thick weed seems to be the attraction which appeared last summer .

One male and 2 female Gadwall present this morning. Just one Mute Swan noted.

Ditto at 3.40pm.

Also quite a few gulls on Parklands playing fields including several common gulls.

Gadwall takes Chorley year total to 86.

And ditto again between Neil and Neville at 130pm with 1 Coot, 2 Moorhen, c20 Mallard and 1 Mute Swan too.

Takes me to 84 species for the year.

Glad you all caught up with the gadwall but a bit worried about the mute swan ( the 2 birds had been together for months )

3 Gadwall still there this morning 9.55 and only 1 Mute Swan, a female.

Gadwall takes my species list to 83.
