Eyes Lane, Bretherton

Post by Neil Southworth »

The fog was dense on Eyes Lane, even though the sun was shining and the sky was blue. Luckily there were birds on the stubble fields including a mixed flock of Fieldfare (12), Redwing (30), Blackbird and Starling. There was also a covey of 5 Red-legged Partridge*. Up the lane there was plenty of activity from the usual woodland species, including GS Pecker and Song Thrush*. Visibility on the river varied from none downstream to very little upstream, the only wildfowl seen being close to the bridge - Mallard 7, single Teal and Moorhen.

RL Partridge and Song Thrush  take me to 75
