Just Herring (c30) and Black Headed Gulls (c50) on the fields this lunchtime. Good range of plumages available on both Argenteus and Angentatus Herring Gull. I would say that about half of the 'older' Argenteus Herring now had full white or minimal streaking on the head. All the Argentatus Herring were still well streaked. One particularly large Gull got my interest but I concluded 2nd Winter Argentatus based on head and bill shape, although the grey parts on the back were noticeably dark and head streaking was confined to around and behind the eye.
