White Coppice to Brinscall and back

Birds seen/heard - 4 Canada Geese*, 1 Feral Goose, 2 Moorhen, 2 Mallard and 1 Coot at the lodge near Smith's Farm, 1 Goosander (f), 3 Moorhen and 4 Mallard in Heapey No. 6 Lodge. 1 Common Buzzard near Causeway Farm, 2 Kestrel (1 at Stronstey Bank and 1 near Heatherlea Woods), Blue Tit, Great Tit, Coal Tit heard, 4 Long Tailed Tit, 3 Goldcrest, 1 Nuthatch heard, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker heard*, 1 Grey Wagtail* on Dean Black Brook, 26 Mallard, 3 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag Goose*, several BH Gulls and 3 Muscovy Ducks on Brinscall Lodge, 30+ flock of Lesser Redpoll* feeding on Alder in Heatherlea Woods, 1 Jay, 3 Magpie, 5 Blackbird, 2 Chaffinch, 4 Robin, 1 Dunnock heard, 3 Wren, several Woodpigeon, 1 Raven* near stronstey Bank, 1 Bullfinch* (f) feeding on Birch Tree buds.

Mammals - 6 Grey Squirrel, several molehills.

Fungi - Jelly Ear, Turkeytail, Winter Polypore.

7 new species takes my score to 68.

That's a good list Len, in an area I often walk. You're probably aware that there are often Dipper flying along the Goit at White Coppice, its always special when I hear/see these birds there.
