Re: Reservoirs
Wonder if there is overlap of gulls between Lower Rivington and places like Pennington Flash? Less than 10 miles as the Gull flies... Tonight a very large Gull roost was present at Pennington (Manchester Birding Website) including adult and 2nd W Yellow Legged Gull. Possibly the birds I saw a few days ago as only 3W bird and less gulls overall reported at Rivington today?

Re: Reservoirs
It's looking a bit that way, Ian. As you say a massive roost at Pennington coincided with a smallish roost at Lower Rivington today, whereas a few days ago a small roost at Pennington coincided with a very large one at Rivi. If so, let's hope the Iceland Gull which has been at Pennington on a few occasions will choose Rivington for a change sometime!
