Belmont Reservoir - very foggy, but 60+ Mallard, 30 + Teal, 1 Cormorant & 25+ Lapwing seen, 1 Pheasant seen several more heard.

None of the expected Canada Geese or Greylag Geese in evidence, however an unexpected bonus was a Merlin* (f) that flew very low over the A675 just to the north of the Reservoir.

Chorley Cemetery - 2 Nuthatch seen & 2 more heard, Woodpigeon, Magpie, Jay heard, Goldcrest heard, 1 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch heard singing, Blue Tit, Great Tit & Coal Tit seen, several Robins heard singing.

Mammals - 2 Grey Squirrel.

Fungi - Clouded Funnel, Yellowing Knight and Oyster Fungus.

Yesterday 05.01.19 at YVP Velvet Shank fungus seen.

Merlin takes my species total to 61.
