Stunning start to the day , 16 new ticks for the year ( total up to 59 species ) around 40 teal , 3 goosander , heron , whooper and mute swan , 3 kestrel , 2 buzzard , 1 peregrine , 8 cormorant , raven , 20 skylark , 3 stonechat ( 1 pair , 1 fem ) , linnet flock , plenty of chaffinch but no sign of any brambling , 4 snipe , fieldfare , 3 corn bunting , 70 lapwing , meadow pipits , woodpigeon , stock doves , moorhen , song thrush ,robin , dunnock , wren , pheasant , large skeins of distant pinkfoot .
