Anglezarke

Post by Paul Hodson »

A lovely day for a walk around the moors and reservoirs, the highlight was a Woodcock that I flushed on the edge of the dead forest, though generally birds sightings were thin on the ground.

White Coppice.
Great spotted Woodpecker. Dipper 2. Long tailed Tit c10
Mute Swan on #5 lodge.
Male Goldeneye on #3 lodge.

Dean Black Brook.
Pair of Stonechat. Meadow Pipit. Wren 2.

The only birds on the moors were a few Carrion Crow, and the only birds seen at Lead mine Clough were a few Woodpigeon. Bullfinch and Raven 2

Yarrow Reservoir.
Mallard c70. Goosander 4. Sparrowhawk.

High Bullough Reservoir
Tufted Duck 4. Goldeneye 3. Grey Wagtail.

Anglezarke Reservoir.
Mallard c30. Canada Goose 2. Black headed Gull c100. Lesser black backed Gull 4.

Stopped at Morrison's on the way home,
Peregrine 2 on the chimney and Pied Wagtail 16 on the carpark
