Just a single Coot on the water on Top Lodge plus 3 Moorhen on the embankment. Bottom Lodge was better with a single Mute Swan, 6 Mallard, 6 Tufted Duck, 6 Coot and 2 Moorhen.
The main feature though was 100+ Redwing flying around. There are lots of berries on the hawthorns, so perhaps they didn't know which to choose. At least 3 Mistle Thrush were also trying to defend their territories against them. Half a dozen Fieldfare were also present. A Buzzard flew over being harassed by a crow. A small tit flock contained at least half a dozen Long-tailed Tits. A GS Pecker was heard calling. There weren't many small birds and a handful of Goldfinch were the only finches seen.
