also seen 8 snipe , 30+ reed bunting , male yellowhammer , 2 tree sparrow , my dog flushed a water rail out of the long grass ( a first for this area for me ) , lots of skylark corvids and starling , a single peregrine flushed hundreds of gulls off the large field next to the canal , 2 kestrel hunting , small numbers of pinkfoot passed over , on the river was a female goosander with the mallard .Twin lakes , 5 gc grebe , 6 tufted duck , bh gulls ,1 coot , 1 moorhen , 2 canada geese , 1 kestrel , 5 grey partridge , 2 song thrush , wood pigeons feeding on hawthorn berries , starlings , meadow pipit .
