Japanese gardens to Winter Hill 14,10,18 1015 to 1330.

2 Fem type Common Crossbills overhead, 20+ Lesser Redpolls, 8 Redwing, Pike Cottage 1 Juv Wheatear, area behind Pike Cottage 10+ Common Crossbills on the ground with some stunning males in the flock, Two Lads Hill Juv Merlin perched on earth mounds, Winter Hill Juv Golden Plover on ground contact calling flew off Southish when cloud cleared, 3+ Wheatears all fresh Juvs, Goldcrest contact calling in the Rocket compound, Adult Fem Merlin on GM side then flew into Chorley, Fem Kestrel on mast, 60+ Pinkfeet heading Norfolk bound and a smaller flock heading towards the Lancashire coast, small groups of Meadow Pipits total 80+ moving about though not sure if these are actually on passage good numbers of skylark seemed to be passing directly through in small groups, Pike Cottage Male Stonechat.

Coppull Brookside 15,10,18 0845.

1 Swallow through, flock of 7+ Redwing and 2 Blackbirds noisily moving directly through at height, 1 regular Sparrowhawk, 3 Goldcrest at differing points of close contact calling.

Coppull Green Lane 18,10,18 0920.

4 Common Snipe

Ring Necked Parakeets from area of Hartwood Hall commuting towards Parklands High School area, maximum count of 16 seen in the evenings all through the summer months.
