Tree Sparrows
Pleasant surprise this afternoon. 6 Tree Sparrows sat on the hedge with all the usual House Sparrows. Didn't visit the feeders I have up though...

Re: Tree Sparrows
I have a pair nest in a mature hawthorn in the garden every year, they use it as a roost.
We also have plenty of House Sparrows including a couple of nests every year behind the guttering.
A house at the bottom of the brow have extended their garage and have a built in house sparrow nest box on each of the four corners of the soffits as well as built in gaps all round the eaves for bats to roost!!

Great news Mike 're tree sparrows nesting. I have only ever seen singles around me until these 6 so wonder if they have had success breeding this year or were they just passing thru??
