Post by peter rowlands »

Hundreds of wasps flying around the double hedgerows on Carr Lane. Lots of Meadow Pipits and Skylarks with several Corn Buntings and a single Yellowhammer mixed in. 350-400 Pink Foots in a field. 1 Chaffinch. 2 Magpies. 6 Moorhens. A small number of Starlings. 1 Kestrel. 1 F/Pheasant. Very few Woodpigeons and Corvids. Several Tree Sparrows. 4 Small White and 1 Comma Butterfly, and a Stoat ran up the bank and stopped right in front of me for a few seconds.
