Eyes Lane to Croston circular

Afternoon walk from the entrance road to Bank Hall, Eyes Lane, along Yarrow and Lostock to Croston by E Shaped ponds (including diversion to the Crown in Croston for a very nice pint !) and back via Back Lane.

Highlight was a good view of another Hobby near the confluence of the Douglas and Yarrow heading upstream towards Croston.

Also seen Tree Sparrow 6, Linnet 3, Buzzard 1, Goldfinch 4, Cormorant 1, Pheasant 3, House Martin 10, Swallow 20 and plenty of Woodpigeon.

Butterflies: Speckled Wood 2, Large White 8-10.
