Pair of yellowhammer ( male had a beakfull of food ) , 1 sparrowhawk , 1 kestrel , small numbers of woodpigeon , along the douglas there were only mallards ( plenty of exposed mud ) , 2 heron in flight , as the light faded a pre roost of around 100 swallows appeared and were still flying around as i left ( looked to be roosting in a maize field near to red bridge ) .
