Fungi -
Sunday 05.08.18 - Chorley Cemetery - Fairy Inkcap, 1 No. Hoof Fungus
Monday 06.08.18 - Anglezarke path next to Goit - 1 Dryad's Saddle
Sunday 12.08.18 - Chorley Cemetery - 2 No. Slippery Jack, 1 No. Hoof Fungus

Birds - Bretherton Eyes, Friday 10.08.18 went in search of Long Eared Owl at dusk - no sign of any owls until I got home when I heard a Tawny Owl in my front garden at Great Knowley.
Buckshaw village, Wednesday 08.08.18 - Approx 300 Starling in one flock, also 1 Lesser Black-Backed Gull with a bad leg (dangling down when in flight) seen twice 05:50 and 11:00

Tuesday 07.08.18 - Great Knowley - 1 Barn Owl, first sighting for several months.

Lepidoptera - Great Knowley 11.08.18 - 1 Common Blue (f), 2 Large White

YVP - Saturday 11.08.18 - called in for half an hour on the hope of seeing the Kingfisher but no luck, I did hear a juvenile Sparrowhawk calling for food and saw a Southern Hawker Dragonfly on the small lodge at 17:30 in very overcast conditions.
