Tincklers Fields Eccleston

Post by John Edwards »

All of the wheat fields have been harvested and ploughed, the ploughed fields are attracting plenty of Corvids, Gulls mainly Black Headed with smaller numbers of Lesser Black Backs and a few Herring also Wood Pigeons and Stock Doves, today there were 16 Lapwings the first I've seen here since the breeding Lapwings had there nests destroyed by the late ploughing. Also seen 7 Swallows heading south there were 30 on wires yesterday, 3 Buzzards, 2 Kestrels, 2 Herons a few Pheasants and a single Red Legged Partridge. A bird of prey was seen on Monday being chased by 15 House Martins I only caught a glimpse of the bird though I think it was probably a Sparrowhawk, also yesterday 3 Sand Martins next to the river.
