Did a circuit from Alance bridge up the valley past the monument to the bridge at the top of the waterfall and back through the fields on the northeast side.

Birds seen/heard: 5 Bullfinch (2 & 3), 6 Willow Warbler, Blue Tit, Robin, Chaffinch, Jay Magpie, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Goldfinch, Wren heard, 2 Common Buzzard harassed by a Peregrine, 4 Raven, Spotted Flycatcher, GSW heard.

Butterflies: 10 Speckled Wood, 10+ Large White, 3 Small Copper, 16+ Gatekeeper, 2 Meadow Brown, 2 Small Skipper, 1 Red Admiral, 1 Purple Hairstreak, Silver Y moth.

Odonata: 3 Common Hawker, 1 Black Darter.

After examining my photos from yesterday I noted 1 adult and 1 juvenile Spotted Flycatcher in Lead Mines Clough in a flock of 7 birds which Included at least 1 Willow Warbler.
