Purple Hairstreak
Several Purple Hairstreaks seen when sunny today on oak trees near to Lead Mines Clough entrance.
They can be found on several trees.

Len on several trees leading up to alance bridge rhs. But just walk 13 paces onto bridge from lead mines entrance sign look left. You need sunshine. They flit around there.

I went to Alance Bridge again today There were at least a dozen and probably many more. They seemed to be on several of the trees. I watched two and possibly three females ovipositing.
