Evening Walk in Heskin / Eccleston Area Thursday 19.7.18

A walk around the Heskin and Eccleston areas. Meet at the venue to start at 7.00 pm prompt.

Park in Bannister Green at its junction with Wrennals Lane. Grid Reference SD 522163.

13 members enjoyed a walk through the Eccleston / Heskin countryside on a glorious summer's evening, taking in Knowles Wood, Heskin Old Hall, Eccleston Delph, Heskin Hall Farm, Spring Wood and a short length of Syd Brook. Thanks Gary for leading the walk. Sightings as follows:-
Birds:- Mallard, Kestrel 2, Sparrowhawk, Herring Gull, BH Gull, Common Tern, Woodpigeon, Collared Dove, Stock Dove, GS Pecker, Magpie, Jay, Crow, Swift, Swallow, House Martin, Blue Tit, Great Tit, LT Tit, Treecreeper, Chiffchaff, Wren, Robin, Dunnock, Blackbird, Mistle Thrush 3, Starling, House Sparrow, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Yellowhammer
Butterflies:- Purple Hairstreak 2, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral
Mammals:- Rabbit, Grey Squirrel, (Noctule) Bat
