Croston twin lakes / sewage works area .

Twin lakes , the great crested grebes have had a good year, on the first lake there were 2 pairs with 5 well grown young between them ( 3, 2 ) and on the second there was another adult which may have a mate on a nest , also on the water were 2 pair of coot ( one with small young ) several mallard and a flock of around 40 canada geese , a common tern was seen in flight elswhere around the sewage works and fields there was a singing yellowhammer , several woodpigeon and bh gulls , flock of around 100 starlings , singing wren , 3 pied wagtail , the oil seed rape fields held a flock of 50+ linnet and several each of tree sparrow , goldfinch and greenfinch .
