Croston Twin Lakes

12.30-1.15pm - Sewage works: starling, BH gull, swallow.
Twin Lakes: Canada goose, shelduck with young, coot, mallard, GC grebe feeding fish to offspring, more BH gull, common tern resting on N Lake and hunting over S Lake before departing and calling towards Rufford with a fish in its mouth, single lapwing, common whitethroat, yellowhammer, linnet, goldfinch, chaffinch, reed warbler (1 nr the railway and 1 in reeds in field adjacent to the lakes).

Lepidoptera: tortoiseshell, green-veined white
Odonata: Banded demoiselle

Common tern takes Chorley species total for the year to 133.
