Belmont Reservoir - thousands of Black Headed Gulls some with quite well grown young. 3 adult Moorhen with 6 chicks spread over the big lake. 25 Canada Geese, 4 Greylag Geese, 2 Reed Bunting, 3 Common Snipe, 1 Redshank, 1 Oystercatcher, 8+ Mallard. 2 Curlew over.

Belmont village - 1 Swift

Lead Mine Clough - 1 Common Redstart heard, 2 Willow Warbler, 2 Nuthatch, 3 Blue Tit, 2 Great Tit, 1 Robin, 2 Wren, 3 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Blackcap heard, 1 Garden Warbler heard, 2 Spotted Flycatcher. Curlew heard, Chaffinch, Dunnock.

Mammals - 1 Grey Squirrel.

Great Knowley - 1 Swift yesterday afternoon turned to 4 in the evening and 3 again today feeding over the estate/former quarry area. 40+ Starling this morning including many juveniles.
