R Yarrow - Eccleston St Mary's end

7.15-8.30 - single swift high up, swallow (3), house martin (10), 3 sand martin circling repeatedly around the s-bend mixing with house martins, curlew (2), parent lapwing with chick on steep, muddy bank of Yarrow distress calling continually - possibly stuck, goldfinch flock (6), several newly fledged blue tit.

Odonata: banded demoiselle

Sand martin takes Chorley species total for the year to 132.
