Didn't press Submit yesterday...............

12.30.1.15pm - buzzard mobbed by 2 crows, grey heron on the pond, chiffchaff, c whitethroat (2), sedge warber (3+), reed warbler (don't recall hearing one on the meadow before), greenfinch, reed bunting (3).

Lepioptera: small skipper and several whites

Odonata: broad-bodied chaser & 4-spotted chaser, common blue/azure damselfly

On a bike ride last night coming down off the moors from Drinkwaters, we saw a large fire along the banks of Dean Black Brook. 999 call and the fire service extinguished the fire. Its a reminder that the moors are tinder dry and during the breeding season can be devastating. The fire looked to have been started deliberately.
