Re: Swifts.
Swifts breed regular at 7 sites at eccleston , the church at mawdesley ( at the crossroads ) holds several pairs , at the croston the nelson pub holds several pairs and another site near to the yarrow next to church street , there is one nest site on the green at eccleston were the swifts are nesting behind a facia board and the gap is very tight the birds have to land on the render and squeeze themselves upwards behind the board to get to trhe nest great viewing .

3 Flew across Eaves Lane near Pennine Road and 2 flew across Cowling Brow near Brownley Street this morning. In previous years they have bred in the Ridge Road estate and the Devenport Way estates.
Re: Swifts.
Four in Babylon lane area (Springfield Farm), Heath Charnock -plus four house martins -more investigation of actual nest sites needed.
