St Mary's Eccleston - R Yarrow - Croston

5.30-7.30pm: circular walk starting at R Yarrow (St Mary's Eccleston) to Croston and back through Tinckler's Lane fields - lapwing (20+) chancing it on a ploughed field, mandarin duck (pair) flew over, RL partridge (2), Canada goose (4) by a Tinckler's field pond, kestrel, collared dove, song thrush, swallow (15+), pied wagtail, 3 common and 1 lesser whitethroat singing in hawthorn hedge, Gr-Bl-LT tit, goldfinch, house sparrow, yellowhammer, reed bunting.

Lepidoptera: orange-tip, peacock, tortoiseshell
