Brinscall - Withnell Moor - Abbey Village

7.45-11.30am - plenty of miles but not plenty of birds. On Withnell Moor: cuckoo on a fence beyond Solomon's Temple accompanied by 3 m pipit - later calling from Withnell quarry, Canada goose (2) over, curlew (3), c snipe (2 singing, not the drumming song), lapwing (2), good numbers of m pipit & skylark. Lower down towards Withnell & Abbey Village - buzzard, kestrel, jay, jackdaw, song thrush, pied wagtail, swallow, goldfinch, greenfinch (heard), redpoll, c whitethroat, blackcap.

Mammals: stoat, rabbit (3)
Lepidoptera: whites (100's)
