Great Knowley - 1 Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly, nightly visits from a Hedgehog. 14 Magpies this morning over former quarry.

Tan House Brook & Woods - 4 Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, Goldcrest heard, 1 Orange Tip White Butterfly.

Hic Bibi - 2 Small Tortoisehell, 1 Peacock, 1 Orange Tip White. 3 Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 probable Lesser Whitethroat (sub-song only), 1 Blackcap. Heard Curlew and probable Whimbrel several times but could not locate, 1 Pied Wagtail, 2 Skylark, 2 Willow Tit heard. 2 Common Buzzard. Queen Red-tailed Bumblebee.

Eyes Lane - Sollom canal Bridge to Bank Bridge along canal, then along Douglas to Red Bridge then back to Sollom canal bridge. Not a single Reed or Sedge Warbler!! 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Sky Lark, 6 Linnet, several Mallard including a probable hybrid (very brown coloured), 2 Moorhen, 1 Reed Bunting, several Lapwing & 2 Shelduck. 1 Peacock butterfly. 1 Common Buzzard. Woodpigeon, Pheasant, Robin. 1 Swallow.

Eyes lane flood - Mallard, Shelduck, BH Gull, Lapwing 1 Redshank.

Ridley Lane/Pump House Lane, Wymott - 4 Canada Geese & 1 Magpie in field behind reed bed, but no Whimbrel. 1 Common Whitethroat heard, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, 1 Sedge Warbler seen.

Holker Lane - Pheasant, Starling.

Common Whitethroat and Sedge Warbler takes my species total to 118.
