7.45-11.15am - circular walk across the fields from Croston to Wymott and back through Bretherton. 36 whimbrel (35 on fields between Wymott and Bretherton and 1 dropped in the field behind Wymott Lodge), Herring, BH and LBB gull (many), mute swan, buzzard, kestrel, lapwing, oystercatcher (2), GSW, c snipe, jay, song thrush, blackcap (6+), chiffchaff (6+), willow warbler (2), common (4) and a lesser whitethroat (in hedges nr Wymott Brook), bullfinch (pr), sedge warbler (1 in Wymott Lodge and 1 in pond between Ridley ln and railway line), yellowhammer, reed bunting.

Lepiodoptera: small tortoiseshell, peacock, small white. Also plenty of bees about (don't know names)

Lesser whitethroat and sedge warbler takes Chorley species total for the year to 116
