Relatively quiet at White Coppice this evening 445pm to 630pm apart from Willow Warbler.

Cuckoo was very quiet until a brief distant call and a decent silent flight view near the car park.

Redpoll 5 also.

Cuckoo takes me to 123 species for the year.

Good news. Look forward to seeing/hearing cuckoos again in Brinscall.

Past years I've regularly noted them in the evenings, calling and flying between the trees of the former farms Ratten Clough, Solomon's Temple and New Temple, presumably roosting nearby. Have sometimes seen them around Butterworth Brow.
