Sewage works / twin lakes , no hirundines , only 2 pied wagtail :? ( huge numbers of insects ) 4 gc grebes , 9 tufted duck , 2 oystercatcher .
Croston reedbed , no sedge or reed warbler heard , chiffchaff , willow warbler , robin , chaffinch , reed bunting and wren in song .
Eyes lane area , 7 bt godwit , 2 redshank , 3 goosander on flood and 3 on the river , 2 wheatear on the manure also huge numbers of flying insects all over the area .
Coppull , jolly tar lane , 2 curlew this morning .

I can similarly vouch for the huge number of flying insects tonight on a Croston Moss/Finney circular walk this evening but a similar lack of hirundines, wagtails or summer visitors.

Wheatear 2 top end of loch meadow
Oystercatcher 2 on river
Lapwing 15-20
Yellowhammer 4
Linnet 5
Stock Dove 5
Grey Partridge 2
Chinese domestic geese 2 on river
Goosander 3
