White Coppice.

Post by Janice Sutton »

An afternoon walk towards the Watermans cottage, very quiet except for at least seven Willow Warblers, Dipper and a pair of Grey Wagtails on the Goit. Female Kestrel above the quarry. Redpoll over.

Caught up with the Redstart this morning which got me to 100 at last! Other than that there was nothing new, but Willow Warbler numbers continuing to increase with 20+ singers between Black Coppice and Heatherlea Woods. Curlew, pair Grey Wagtail, Blackcap 2, Chiffchaff 2, 4 or 5 singing Treecreeper and Nuthatch were the main other sightings.
