YVP - Lower Burgh Meadow

12.30-1.30pm: LBM - kestrel, 6 common & 2 jack snipe, jay (2), swallow (2), chiffchaff, reed bunting (3).
YVP - usual birds on Big Lodge (gulls scattered by low swooping buzzard), mandarin (m) & gr wagtail on Yarrow, more singing chiffchaff, treecreeper (2).

Swallow takes Chorley area species total for the year to 101.
