Bretherton eyes floods .

Large amounts of water and not many birds highlight was a single swallow feeding low over the main flood ( cheers paul ) and a peregrine in full hunting mode after woodpigeon, sand martin and swallow brings the total up to 102 species .

There were a few more birds on the flood this afternoon (4.00-4.30) the highlight being a Ruff feeding amongst the Lapwing
Full sightings. Mallard c20. Shelduck 16. Moorhen 2. Lapwing 45. Redshank 2. Ruff. Oystercatcher 3. Black headed Gull c40. Lesser Black Backed Gull 4. Herring Gull 2. Pied Wagtail 3. Grey Wagtail

Also a Small Tortoiseshell butterfly.
