Toad spawn

Will do. Frogs in clumps, toads in strings, right? A lot head down from Manor House to High Bullough Reservoir too, in past spring times.

Thanks for that. Correct as to how spawn looks -it can be tricky to see toad spawn as they trail it around submerged plants whereas frog spawn is floating on the surface.

Are toads at risk from traffic at the site you mention? Don't want to "overreach" but we might be able to at least put warning signs up if they cross a busy road and therefore suffer casualties.
