Mawdesley / rufford boundry at dusk .

Post by gary lilley »

Went in hope of a short eared owl but managed 2 hunting barn owls instead also seen on the mawdesley side a single curlew, along the river douglas there was plenty of teal , several goosander , moorhens , shelduck , 1 heron , and several snipe, on the rufford side there was around 20 snipe , similar numbers of lapwing , heard more curlew , there is still plenty of rough areas for owls but mainly on the rufford side .
Curlew brings my chorley list up to 91 species .
