Eyes Lane - approx 40 Lapwing, 50 BH Gulls, 1 Herring Gull, 2 LBB Gulls, 2 Oystercatcher, 19 Canada Geese on or adjacent River Douglas, 3 Goosander (2m & 1f) on the river, Mallard, Carrion Crow, Woodpigeon, Skylark heard.
Rufford Canal - very bleak with only 2 Mallard and 1 Moorhen seen, however made up for it when a female Merlin flew over the canal and headed towards Red Bridge.
Merlin increases my Chorley Area species score to 92.
