1.00-1.45pm - willow tit calling repeatedly and showing well in the trees near the gate. The ponies have made a decent (and muddy) job of clearing the site. Not much else bird-wise - LLB (3) & herring (3) gull over, kestrel hunting, sg thrush, gr-bl-LT tit, bullfinch (2 m). Only BH gull and woodpigeon on the surrounding fields. Yellowhammer numbers seem to have dropped off at this site.

SkyLark were showing well this morning, about 50 lapwing were on the fields south of the reserve also a good flock of fieldfares.
