12.45-1.30pm - 21 whoopers on the flood with the manure heap, 2 oystercatcher & heron on Douglas bank, mobile flock of c.300 lapwing, several hundred mixed flock of fieldfare & starling (with a few redwing) on field next to Sollom Lane; only BH (50) and single LBB gull and shelduck (loads) on the main flood. Buzzard, kestrel, sparrowhawk (2 incl 1 m hunting low over stubble field looking for skylark/pipits), pied & grey wagtail, small finch flocks, yellowhammer.

Oystercatcher and tawny owl (in Copperworks Wood behind my house, early hours 05/02) bring Chorley species for the year total to 83
