1 little owl , 3 grey partridge , plenty of finches and buntings , huge numbers of skylarks showing well in the sunshine , distant whoopers , cormorant , 20+ snipe , 4 hare .

8.00-12.00 - sightings on the Croston Finney/Moss side already covered by Gary & Len. Continued onto Mawdesley Moss where additions were a little egret and large mixed corvid flock (crow, jackdaw, rook). Not sure if its typical for this time of year but several of the corn buntings were in song and never seen such large numbers of skylarks (several hundred) on the mosses before.
