Croston, Tin Lakes and Sewage Works

2 Cormorant, 30+ BH Gulls, 10 Tufted Duck (8m & 2f) and 3 Great Crested Grebe on the first lake, 4 Pied Wagtails at the sewage works, 2 Green Sandpiper in main field, but near to Twin Lakes side took off and landed in the brook near to where the footpath turns away from the boundary to the lake, 1 Kingfisher on the brook adjacent to the footpath next to the boundary.

Blue Great Coal & Long Tailed Tit, Chaffinch, Goldfinch & Bullfinch in the trees along the footpath adjacent the railway from Croston Station to Twin Lakes. Woodpigeon, Collared Dove, Dunnock & Robin.

Eyes Lane Bretherton

18 Shelduck & 1 BH Gull were the only occupants of the main flooded field, flock of around 40 Starling, Skylark, Yellowhammer, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Pied Wagtail & 4 Common Buzzard.

Green Sandpiper takes my species total to 78.
