1st trip to Bretherton Eyes

Sightings from my 1st trip to Bretherton Eyes
4 Buzzard - 5 Yellowhammer (3m & 2f) - c150 skylark - c50 Linnet / Gold Finch / Chaffinch mixed flock - 1 Merlin - 1 Sparrowhawk - 2 Kestrel - 1 Song Thrush - 1 Mistle Thrush - 9 Shelduck - 8 Canada Goose - 6 Pied Wag - 1 Grey Wag - c25 Mallard (on R Douglas) - 6 Teal (on R Douglas) - 1 Grey Heron - 1 GBB Gull - Numerous Crows/Jackdaws and Rooks

Good to see the merlin is still knocking about , are you doing a year list mark ?

I've started a complete year list. However as of yet I haven't broken it down to area lists. It is something I can do for this forum

Just had a quick look and my list stands at 54 species seen across the Nats area
