A damp and miserable start to the day , started at the carr lane end , plenty of mallard on a flash , meadow pipit , skylark and goldfinch about , large flock of corvids , around 1000 pinkfoot on the ground , 4 whooper swans heard then spotted landing on the mawdesly side , great white egret near to the railway line , several reed bunting , 1 grey wagtail .
Whooper swan and grey wagtail brings my list up to 69 species .
